Rent Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Canoes and Bicycles
We do not accept reservations.
We make it as easy as possible for our guests to rent kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and bicycles when they visit us at Topwater Kayak Outpost for self-guided tours. After almost 20 years in business, we know our guests prefer a first-come first-served approach so we can accommodate as many travelers as possible. If you have a party larger than 15 guests, please give us a call so we can accommodate your group.

Kayak and Canoe Rentals
We recommend visiting us during open hours of operation when you’re ready to rent your kayak or canoe. We will review the trail map, provide safety instructions, a life vest, plus a paddle and kayak or canoe for you to begin your adventure.
Self-guided tours are approximately two hours to explore the designated trail. We also offer a 4-hour maximum rental so you have more time to explore!
Single Kayak Rental Pricing (tax not included):
2 hours $35
4 hours $50
$10 surcharge/hour for late returns
Double Kayak and Canoe Rental Pricing (tax not included):
2 hours $45
4 hours $60
$10 surcharge/hour for late returns
Paddle Board Rentals
Similarly, we recommend visiting us during open hours of operation when you’re ready to rent your paddle board. We will review the trail map, provide safety instructions, a life vest, plus a paddle and paddle board so you’re ready to launch.
Self-guided tours are approximately two hours to explore the designated trail. If you’d like to rent for longer, just let us know at the counter!

A stones throw away, you will find our bicycle rental stand near the Fort DeSoto historic fort itself. Rent from one of our attendants by simply visiting us during open hours of operation when you’re ready to cruise around your bicycle rental.
1 Hour Bike Rental Pricing (tax not included):
Your second hour is half off.
